MLS Technology Group has a proven 10 year track record,  are continuing our growth pattern and seeking two solid level 2 Support Technicians to join our team in San Diego.  We are a collaborative group who value fun in a fast paced environment.  We have an open concept office, sit/stand desks, complementary snacks, weekly company lunches, regular team building events, and promote a healthy work/life balance.  As a Support Technician II you will be interfacing directly with our clients as we manage a wide array of workstations, servers and networks. The ideal candidate will have an advanced working knowledge of  computer networking and windows operating systems, excellent communication and documentation skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

If you have never worked for an MSP it offers significant advantages over “in-house IT”.  Primarily, access to a wide variety of environments, technologies, and industries.  This is not a sit behind your desk pushing the same button all day kind of job.  For those willing to hustle there is nearly an unlimited learning potential, rarely will you be bored or left scratching your head trying to come up with items to keep you busy.  In short, if you bring a high level of enthusiasm, like to laugh, and are not the stereotypical IT troglodyte you may be exactly who we are looking for!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide remote or onsite technical support at an advanced level. Including, but not limited to Windows Serves, Switches, Firewalls, Routers, Access Points and more.
  • Provide support to level 1 technicians and resolve escalated tickets.
  • Participate in sales engineering and follow delivery of projects through to completion.
  • Take part in projects which may include OS Migrations, Server, equipment network installations and more.
  • Assist in implementing Windows Server and Network Engineering Design projects.
  • Accurately support Windows server functions, including Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group policy and other roles.
  • Maintain time entries and other documentation accurately.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years’ experience with Help Desk support and stellar customer service
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Actively and independently stays current with new technologies and methodologies.
  • MCSA, CCNA, Security+, or Network + certifications are a plus.
  • Proficient administrative writing, reporting, and documenting
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management, planning and organization skills
  • Take personal ownership of a problem and see it through to end.
  • Collaborative team contributor and accepts feedback positively
  • Exceptional problem solving
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Background checks and drug testing mandatory
